Wanarn Road and Tjirrkarli Road Rehabilitation
Project Description
200mm gravel re-sheeting on Tjirrkarli Road SLK 88.7 to 89.70, Wanarn Road SLK 1.00 to SLK 3.90 and
Wanarn Road SLK 4.90 to SLK 7.70.
Scope of Works
- Clearing and grubbing
- Excavation of soft rock
- Cut to fill of sub-grade – 6.7km x 8m wide road
- Excavation and carting of pavement material from Shire’s gravel pit within 6km of site
- Lay, compact, shape and trim 200mm granular overlay
- Prior to handover, 100m section of Wanarn road was non-conforming. Comiskey’s removed rock from gravel where possible and replaced material from a Quarry Pit on Great Central road at no additional costs to the contract.
